O'cadavo Stage 8 - Stage 7 Lugo

After a good breakfast at the hotel we embark on the path of today June 20, 2010 at about half past eight with a superb time of sunshine and temperature at that time of morning, the bus brings us to where we finished yesterday O'cadavo previous route, around nine o'clock undertook together with great encouragement the route today would take us to Lugo.
To start the morning started with a steep climb of about two miles of good road to the top of A Barqeriza, at this point and then cool off a bit by the tough climb and the sun begins to bite we take a clue well marked that leads to the hermitage of Nuestra Señora Del Carmen. Soon we
Viladave, where there was a Franciscan community dedicated since mid-fifteenth century, to serve the pilgrims.
remains of the convent church, declared a National Monument in the Gothic style of mid-fifteenth century, has a single nave and chancel covered vault, restored in the seventeenth century by Diego Osorio Escobar. At this point
grouped us all to make us the photo of the group rigor in such wonderful place called by many Castroverde Cathedral.
Slowly and with a sun and justice without any difficulty until the last bar we will encounter until we arrived at Lugo, and that from here the way we find only vending machines for soda and snacks, and of modernism is the path, as missing some bar-shop where you take a fresh cervecina take a tirade with the locals.
continued on our way after taking a well deserved snack at the bar that was attached to the Casa do Concello and continued our way up here Souto de Torres where we do a few photos on a beautiful cross and took the opportunity to freshen up a bit.
From this point we continued our journey to Santa Maria de Gondar where we stop for lunch at a wonderful private house with beautiful courtyard shaded by a vine and a vending machine where we could quench our thirst and enjoy our sandwiches donated by the organization, As always do not lose detail at any time.
After lunch and a small but well-deserved rest, we start our way back toward the coveted Lugo, now we have to walk a little road that is the least we like but from time to time we have no choice and that all lined up like school india proseguimos nuestro camino.
I had struck me much more of this beer all Lugo, I hope to visit more calm in the next step.

Distance: 28 miles.
remain to Santiago: 100 miles
Time: 7 hours.
Difficulty: Medium-High (due to the monotony of the last few miles and the sun of righteousness which we fell down all afternoon).
One word: sun (finally).

first ramp of the day between livestock and a beautiful morning sun is grateful to those hours.

First grouping in the morning.

Arrival and visit the beautiful village of Viladave.

Perrin An occasional surprise and welcomes us to see so many people walk past their houses.

A beautiful forest in the middle of the road that protected us from the intense sun, as will be appreciated.

A bit of road before facing the last few miles before reaching the coveted Lugo.

THE FIRST DRINK BEER

The first sip of beer after a stage of the Camino de Santiago or why not, after any mountain road is the only worthwhile. The following growing seasons, only leave you a sense of squandered wealth. The first drink! Begins long before the throat and lips, as shown in last stretch of the road when you start to dream that cup removed from the freezer frost containing this nectar of the gods called beer thirsty.
outcrops on the lips and the gold bubbly, fresh amplified by the foam, and slowly in the mouth a bitter pleasure. It seems over the first drink, almost like the day's stage!. He drinks in one sitting, in reality everything is written, the amount, that neither too little nor much that is the only ideal, the immediate welfare topped with a sigh, a click of the tongue or as important as such a silence, I guess this would be the favorite drink of the Apostle Santiago (Santi for friends).
At the same time after the first drink we know that the best for last.
support the glass, and even away a little, taste the color, false honey, cold sun.
in the vessel wall read with satisfaction the concrete name of the beer that we requested. And contents can be queried, I think it tells us about the hard road carried the day here, to Lugo.
The following drinks are just as tasty but to try to remember that first drink after walking. A definite pleasure
bitter drink to forget that great first drink.
The beautiful beer in the photo was taken in the Plaza Mayor of Lugo with great satisfaction after the hard day's walk.

Does Jcpenney Do Extensions

Fonsagrada-or cadaveric

Finally we turn again to gather the 41 pilgrims on June 19, 2010 at about half past seven we were all in the club wanting to start Fresneda This seventh stage, with a brief stop in Vegadeo for breakfast and buy bread for the ranch the day, we started back towards Fonsagrada as it had been an end of our last stage.
Once we left the bus in front of the hotel where we stayed last time and where they also sleep in the day we start our long and beautiful walk today due to O'Cadavo with a distance of 28 kilometers which have no great difficulty and are easy to walk.
A Fonsagrada output we take the right hand side of the cemetery of the village well signposted diversion that takes us into a small forest of great beauty and many who drive through today and tomorrow and then hit the road for a brief moment to re-introduce us to another small forest, bordered now Vilardongo and entered a magnificent pine forest so typical in this part of Galicia, soon undertake a whip higher and reach the ledge atop the ruins of the old hospital in Santiago Montouto XIV century, which was still running early twentieth century by the functions of the shelters current.
At this point and with considerable heat and make the first stop of the group next to the beautiful chapel where arem Montouto the photo of the whole group, after eating some fruit and spare forces continue our peaceful and pleasant place for a gentle descent that takes us for about four miles (from the 1070th 700m) to get through a beautiful forest that provides shade for us all this way to Paradavella, where we arrived at a magnificent inn run by a friendly Argentine giving us permission to eat at a nice porch that is beside the roadside with all the chickens loose among the people giving him a more pleasant character (see photo).

miles
First day.

At about two o'clock in the afternoon and after the great food that we found with its corresponding sleeve coffee and a good shot of Galician white residue (pure delight in the whole area), we continued our way to O ' corpse.
At about this point we had covered half the walking path so that we already have chupao.
The big surprise of the day at least for me and I think for any more of the group was that after I got under his belt a huge sandwich with their beers (see photo, eye are not all mine), a beautiful shot of Marc Rich Gallego, was the impressive hill waiting for us with a blazing sun to climb Lastra, I think the organization did not tell us anything and we did it treason, but good charrada a bit and watching the beautiful countryside and stately homes we encountered along the way he went slowly gaining costs to the famous battle "The Couto" as well as the locals call it.
must be said that no more crown and a little before reaching Lastra, we were pleasantly surprised when we a beautiful chapel that like me most are the bars, shop, this particular bar called Xestoso run by very friendly guy with the pilgrims and seal you apart from the card-shop these bars serve beer firewall when you get exhausted from stress and heat, the truth that as thanks.
In Lastra we waited for the bus in case anyone wanted to leave some clothes and wanted to end the stage today, but I do not think anyone set abandonment and all the way O'cadavo proceeded at this point but continue to rise without being cruel climb that had nothing to eat, and we only have six miles to O'cadavo which are rather heavy for the sun of justice will punish us and because the village is located in a hollow and do not see until they almost above him, then finally after climbing the last steep slope between a big day finally spotted pine O'cadavo small town that is the final stage today.
As at about half past six p.m. we be victorious in this town, do the input for the wide plaza of the town where in a cafe in the town Jesus Carabanzo of the club's board was received by the Lord Mayor of Fonsagrada between hugs and Councillor for Tourism and Leisure, which sealed the credentials in the bathroom (see photo of the great reception). Well
after Hugs and have taken a fresh beer that we had won by far, we took the bus and Fonsagrada have ourselves a good shower repair and give back to the magnificent pueblín of Fonsagrada.

O'CALDEIRA

A couple of days walking through the beautiful Galicia as was our case go far and spend pipe, so if ever you actually go to Fonsagrada not miss this sanctuary of octopus called O 'Caldeira.
Already in the previous stage by finishing so late the route we were unable to go to dinner at this great restaurant but this time it advised a group of pilgrims to the organization that did not have us for dinner at the hotel we wanted to a real tribute octopus and Ribeiro and it was.
After a good shower in the hotel we met the eight friends in the cafeteria and we set off, first a small stroll through the streets of the pretty village of Fonsagrada following the trail of a real winch people who did not take long to find and where we could quench our thirst for pilgrim holding on good jugs fresquín ribeiro entering only (all but Paula is in the league anti-alcohol).
After quenching thirst and a bit more relaxed and we went to one of the best temples of the octopus that exists all over Galicia, now finally have dinner at O'Caldeira.
The front bar looks discreet in a small town square, while calling upon entering table for all I'm already a skewer Tapin xoubas pie they had in the bar that broke with corduroy. When you get to the dining
is at the top Look at the kitchen, like a pair of pink ladies and well into meat and take nice sea octopuses in copper basins with skill and expertise that the split with scissors and carefully put the pieces of so worthy a delicacy in wooden plates and sprinkle with good olive oil, a delicious paprika not forget the salt and fat that gives the sublime touch to this dish (you're making me mouth water remember, sorry but I have to clean), I press on, well we sat at a table very kindly offered the owner of the premises and what was our surprise when we saw that not only we who were dining in so majestic place unless I believe that there were nearly a quarter of all those who had gone to the stage today.
As truly wanted was to eat squid, octopus ask more octopus and a little octopus, cachéelos and some peppers to accompany the standard that can never fail, all washed down with a few jars of fresh ribeiro entered as candy. While having dinner
people come to get our tour at the end were a lot of peers with cafes and huge bottles of shots that put us just put all comrades and making a few laughs, what more could you ask for in a dinner fellow pilgrims. Lastly
we all went to have a drink at local pub but hey it already is too big to tell here ha, ha, ha .....
