V.i.p. Invitation Wording

Carabas- Prairies Nava-Arenas de Cabrales

Los Picos de Eupopa from the pastures of Nava

On February 21, 2010 I went again to Mount Mountain Group Pozobal, this week playing the fabulous route Cárabes-meadows of Nava-Arenas de Cabrales completely unknown to me and that I really loved it.
After having breakfast in Cangas de Onis we headed carreterín Trescares and a place where the bus turned almost no cornering maneuver having to do more than one and a road tilt type Angliru and that more than one almost under the bus target of fear (this is true), I had no choice but to be congratulated for their skill driver tube up to the town of Cárabes since it is difficult to get into the car and of course they had commissioned a coach small because a large one does not rise or joke. Well
once completed, the mat and do some photos of the beautiful people of Cárabes with privileged views that allowed us to see Trescares completely from the church of Santa Maria de Cárabes, we start by leaving Caminino just left behind a beautiful stone house that they are fixing the road not marked on the part of the route but with a little intuition and more or less following a path that appears and disappears down the road on a clear day like we had no lost to the meadows of Nava, since from here the trail is already well described at all times. We
as I walked from the back of this beautiful stone manor house and began to pass through an area that is of mud up to their ears but little by little and dodging more or less where you can come to a valley with plenty of cattle and with a views to the Picos de Europa which was beginning to show up a bit in the fog the impressive Picu Urriellu.
From this point we observe the sharp rise ahead to the first ridge summit (640m), so slowly and taking small steps to not take the lungs through the mouth we came to that ridge where there is a hut in which we hope all come together to continue the march again, after collecting all and look for a good time all the panoramic view from this hut was observed with a breathtaking view of the Cares addition to all the southern seawall Cuera and peoples of Razagás, Ruenes and some more than just remember as always the Manolo's good that there is no peak or people that is escape.

The famed meadows of Nava

From the cottage we walked along a path more drawn in this part and constantly rising but much easier to walk than before, as the half-hour from the first hut we came to another group of huts and abandoned half where we stopped to make a refreshment break to eat some chocolate and then regroup them all from here, as throughout this route the views are truly spectacular, from this particular area we could see the highest peaks on the central highlands of the Head of Dense, Picu D'alba, linen and all the ornamentation that goes down to the peak of El Paisano, the hermitage is clearly visible at the top. Once recovered
forces, and less we did because from that point we will have to gain altitude in a climb quite marked by rough terrain and almost blurred which is a real rompepiernas, so very quiet little by little we gain height stopping every so often to take breath and throw a few pictures because it was really hard, and in the last stretch before reaching the crest called Arnie Collado separating the pastures of Nava and accompanied us completely soft snow by the sun in the wonderful day we were having .
And at last we reached the highest point where we could see our feet Nava breathtaking meadows full of huts surrounded by a lot of snow still and a lot of horses around them, making you look more impressive meadows which are already, and of course, right in front of us the majestic Urriellu, standing out among all the peaks. From this high area and is all down to Arenas de Cabrales so slowly that Oscar and I were together all the way, he always says I'm waiting for very heavy with a camera so I have to thank you for your patience as I do not neglect all the way, well, after about half an hour walk downhill towards the huts of a field of Nava, we find another group of club mates and we started together to provide an outlet for our food we had brought to eat in such an idyllic place with sun and a temperature of more enjoyable, what more can you expect for a Sunday in February. Once completed
the crop collected everything (bags, paper, etc ...), to start driving back and we still have about two hours until Arenas. Arenas
The road goes through the lower part of the flock in a southerly direction and passing by a good source for livestock watering from this source route is ideally suited at all times, we began to descend a steep slope with majestic view of the Cares and where and we can see far too Arenas de Cabrales, by the way we encounter a succession of sources that will accompany us along the way, skirting the mountain are now continuing in continuous revolts until you reach a small waterfall called Gau Guazones as 50 meters have a bridge to cross a small creek.
now continue for another mason called Costazu where we stopped to cool off at the source of Rimión after an area in constant zig-zag we reach a point where we will have another wonderful view of the town of Arenas de Cabrales, now crossed another bridge This cement, which soon found a crossroads following the directions but the route we take the following from the front where we get into a magnificent and small forest of chestnut and oak trees and crosses a stream called the Baurrano after crossing the small forest we take a path which is called the Boronas and we JacEs hatch, where we enter the village of Arenas de Cabrales and where We terminate our magnificent route today.
After crossing the pueblín by its narrow streets and magnificent homes of village we came to the bus station where we were together all to change clothes and start to take a well deserved cervezina Sporting seeing a little by the way won.
After the bus headed to Nava where Ries took some bottles of cider, commenting on the route a little longer today and charros also the next route that was already in mind, that ye pa home late and was good for today, tomorrow should be Traballo.
