My Dog Sofa Torn Apart

Braña of

First day of snow of the season.

On day 25 November 2010 the prospects of time to go mountain were dire but then at the end we had a day truly spectacular, so we usually go group normally only said Mary and I decided to make progress the path of Fuexos braña (PR AS-157) because we wanted to step on the snow for the first time this season.
As at about nine o'clock we were having breakfast quietly Teverga once warmed up with some good cafes undertake road toward the port window and the height of Cave Guert turn left to reach the small and Fresnea well kept village (730m) and one day completely clear and that they had left home with a heavy rain that advised us to turn back.
braña The route from Los Fuexos (PR AS-157) begins in the village of Fresnea, tevergano important enclave near the complex karst cave and archaeological Guert de Fresneo.
At the next junction turn right (across the road is perfectly suited), taking a look at the landscapes of the tailpiece of officers we have in the southern horizon. Then
displayed few blocks to the right and slightly below the peak figure Blonde Cave which has an altitude of 1,041 meters. Around it lies a reservoir in Iron Age, which shows a moat. We turn now to a platform with a small sitting area equipped with table, benches and a panel explaining the fauna of the area.

The beginning of the route covered by a beech forest.

The first day now paved ramps to facilitate the passage of tractors.

Snow joined us almost from the start of the route.

Coming to "The Measure Faya" was a snowy landscape and splendid.

braña last leg and the Fuexos.

From this point the snow with us all the way to enjoy it because it is the first time that we step this season.
The track is still progressing toward the soaring heights with successive revolts drawn on the rugged slopes of La Sobia and under the shade of a small beech forest. At a bend in the steep climb where we stopped to take a little breath and drink some reach "La Faya Measure" with the corresponding explanatory panel. Since ancient remains of a large trunk that was used for scrubbing faya the boys when they went to military service. Who would not exceed the height of the trunk service free. Later
follow footprints in the snow of a mountaineer who echo this route open day now transformed former mountain trail and continues up through open spaces already glimpse the surrounding mountains as the Siella, Vallina Green and others. The paint marking showed us the way forward and we can not see because of the large amount of snow, we continued our trek through the snow and every time we have to climb over the knees so you can move between the big snow, now proceeded by a flat area that leads us to The Fuexos after crossing the side of a spring and the water tank of the brane. We are at the foot of the annunciator panel of the same (1,257 m) 4, 8 km and in the forest of thorns are spread over the area several groups outcry, a large block and remnants of other buildings within a beautiful picture of rural activity, come down at the present time.
The return at a calm pace and lowered by the same route of ascent.
Pablo Lara.

Time: four hours (in the snow, if not slightly less).
Difficulty: low.
